Description:
The Shikumen Building -- The Shikumen Building was constructed in mid-1800, and is a combination of Chinese and Western architectural styles. In the early 1900's, it was residential buildings of Shanghai citizens. The building represents modern Shanghai history and culture. However, with the development of the city, the formerly glorious Shikumen gradually faded out the historical stage as it could no longer satisfy people's demands of residence. Thus, the idea of rebuilding Shikumen buildings was launched in 1997, by the developer of Shanghai XinTian Di.
Yuyuan Garden -- Yuyuan Garden -- Yu Garden or Yuyuan Garden is an extensive Chinese garden located beside the City God Temple in the northeast of the Old City of Shanghai, China. It was first built in the 16th century by provincial governor, Pan Yunduan, in honor of his father who was the then government minister. It has many scenic courtyards decorated with baroque rockery, pools, and flora that are all connected by corridors and passageways. The delicate design and exquisite layout of the whole garden reveals a strong impression of "garden in the garden, whole in the part".
The Old Town -- The old town in Shanghai offers unforgettable sights, such as the classic Yu Garden built in the southern Chinese style, the famous old Town Golden Temple, Xiaotayuan Mosque, Lotus Flower Garden, Zigzag Bridge etc. These sites are all well-known landscape and tourist sites in Shanghai. The Old Town is also home to historic buildings. Long histories and unique customs can be found in them. They reflect the way of life and cultural traditions of the past and present Shanghai people.
The Bund -- The Bund is a waterfront area in central Shanghai. The Shanghai Bund has dozens of historical buildings, lining the Huangpu River, that once housed numerous banks and trading houses from United Kingdom, France, the United States, Italy, Russia, Germany, Japan, the Netherlands and Belgium, as well as the consulates of Russia and Britain. The Bund is located along the Huangpu River which is located in the Huangpu District, the center of Shanghai. It is the scenery line of Shanghai. It has the Shanghai landmarks Oriental Pearl TV Tower and Jinmao Tower in the opposite across the Huangpu River. It is a must-see place while enjoying your Shanghai Tours.
The French Concession -- The French Concession is the area of Shanghai once designated for the French. Today, the area's central Huaihai Road is a busy shopping street, but the tree-lined avenues still retain an air of the "Paris of the East". Pleasant tree-lined streets and local residents bustle, combined with a growing number of trendy boutiques and restaurants.
Tianzifang -- Tianzifang is located in the Lane NO.210, Taikang Road in Shanghai City. It is an arts and crafts enclave that has constructed from a refurbished domestic location in the French Concession area of Shanghai, China.
